The Paul Paginton Case. Is a case of Murder? Well,
you could be forgiven for thinking that at 1st glance.
What is said by the Appeal Court Judges in their
deliberations would perhaps lead you to believe that Murder was the appropriate
verdict ? Reading some of the statements contained herein may also lead
you to come to the same conclusion ? However, if you look deeper and study
the "evidence", and if you look harder, and study what the Forensic
Experts, Dr Keith Borer, Dr. White and Dr. Guy Cooper have to say. You
will clearly see that Murder is not what has taken place here. If you
have murdered someone, then your rightful place is behind bars. If someone
has died as a result of a tragic accident, then that is NOT murder, it
is, simply, nothing more than a tragic accident. If you take the time
to listen to what we and the experts have to say, then you will realise
that it is not as the prosecution would have you believe. You may also
ask yourself about certain aspects about the original defence teams efforts.
We will comment upon those aspects in our closing comments and you can
draw your own conclusions about the stability of the verdict.
You may ask yourselves, why bother? a U.K. court
has convicted Paul Paginton of murder. Tried by a jury of his peers !
We care, because we know that a jury can only
convict upon the evidence presented to it and we know that sometimes,
just sometimes, the evidence is not always presented as it should be.
Sometimes by the prosecution ...... and sometimes by the defence. It is
our opinion that the Defence failed to do exactly that.
We also feel that the Court of Appeal failed in their duty to hear vital
evidence that, in our opinion, would have had a profound effect on the
original murder conviction.
We do not say that Paul is a responsible or model
citizen. Neither do we say that he has a "clean sheet", he hasn't
! Paul has been in trouble with the Police for petty crime and has paid
for them in court at various stages of his young life. You may think that
he should be in prison, given his background, and we would agree with
you 100%. Put them in prison when they commit crime, but we also say,
do not lock them up for life for an accident.
There are many serving life because either the
legal system do not always get it right, and those cases should also be
looked at closely & quickly. The wheels of justice turn at a snails
pace once the person is convicted of murder.
The case of Paul Paginton, we believe, is a good
example of the legal profession failing in its duty not only to the defendant,
but to you and I, the tax payers of this country. Yes, we want to live
in a society where we can feel safe and where the bad guys get what's
coming to them, but we do not want to live in a society where innocent
people are wrongly convicted.
Please read what has been said. Read what Forensic
Experts like Dr. Keith Borer, Dr. White and Dr. Guy Cooper, all very highly
respected experts in their profession, see what they have to say about
the death of a young man and how it may have been caused. Then make your
own mind up.
Please be kind enough to sign our comments book.
Paul Paginton needs your support. If you are the Media, please, help us
to fight injustice. Pick up the gauntlet, you have the power to see that
a wrong is put to right.
We are not even campaigning for his immediate release. We are campaigning
for the judicial system to take another look at this case more closely
and to actually listen to the expert witnesses I have mentioned. We are
campaigning for the right to have this evidence heard and heard properly.
We feel that he was never afforded a fair trial. Again, our reasons for
that are set out in our closing comments.
If you are a Barrister, can you look at what we have put on this site,
even better if you are willing to offer your services free of charge in
the interest of justice.
The only thing we do not have is the transcripts
from the original trial, because they are asking for a few thousand pounds
for a copy. I can however, quote one or two comments passed by the Judge
at the beginning of the trial, which we found interesting.
If you are an organisation who fights for justice, then please contact
me by email. I will answer all emails usually within the hour, but certainly
by close of business. Please feel free to cut and paste any part of this
site that you wish.
If you are also fighting a campaign against an
injustice, either as an individual or an organisation, and you have a
website, then we would be happy to host a link on our site to yours, if
you are prepared to do the same? Please email me your link and please
state your involvement in the case i.e. Relative/organisation/Legal Profession.
Thank you for your patience.
