SUMMARY

In December 1997 Mr Paul Paginton was convicted of murdering Matthew >John Thompson on 1st March 1997

We are now reconsidering all the documents we hold to consider

whether the fatal stab wound in Mr Thompson's neck could have

been self inflicted by Mr Thompson impaling himself on a shard

while the shard was still in the window frame,

In our opinion, such a mechanism is in accord with the available evidence.
