Statement from Tina Court
I am a married woman living with my husband Melvin COURT and my daughter Caria COURT aged 8 years at 7 Cormorant Way, Duffryn, Newport. We have lived at 7 Cormorant Way, Duffryn since 12th February 1997 having moved from 36 Maesglas Road, Newport. Aside from my daughter Caria I have three sons who are Mark SMITH aged 18, Michael SWANSBURY aged 16 and Darren SWANSBURY aged 14. My sons do not live with me although my eldest son Michael is due to return to live with us on Sunday 2nd March 1997. Since moving in at 7 Cormorant Way, it would be fair to say that
we had not really had the time or opportunity to get to know or
introduce ourselves to the neighbours. Despite this I have seen a
couple coming in and out of 8 Cormorant Way the woman I now know to be Cindy and the man called Matthew. As far as I could tell it was only the two of than living there. Since moving in we have been aware that there may be problems between the couple living at 8. On a few occasions in the middle of
